EnviroHandy is my business — Alexander Ramsey. I grew up in a family that has been testing and remediating indoor environmental hazards since before most of the industry even had a name for it. EnviroHandy is where I carry that knowledge forward, under my own roof.

Where it started — and how I got here.
EnviroHandy is the second generation of values and expertise that my family has been building since 1990. That history is the foundation everything I do is built on.
1990 — Robert Ramsey
Invented the E-Perm & Founded RTS Environmental Services
My grandfather Robert helped develop the original E-Perm electret ion chamber radon testing device — an instrument that inspectors across the country still rely on today. He founded RTS Environmental Services in Maryland on the back of that technology, focused on giving homeowners honest radon assessments at a time when most people had never heard the word.
Early 1990s — Michelle Ramsey
Brought Radon Testing to Homeowners
My grandmother Michelle was on the ground selling radon test kits in the early 1990s when radon awareness was just beginning to reach everyday homeowners. She was part of getting real testing into real homes at a time when the urgency was new and the public needed someone they could trust.
As the Industry Grew — Paul Ramsey
Expanded into Lead Paint & Asbestos Testing
My father Paul extended the family's expertise further as regulations around lead paint and asbestos tightened. He brought accredited lead paint inspection and asbestos testing into the RTS portfolio — rounding out a full suite of indoor environmental services that the business still offers today.

I provide professional general contracting services, specializing in water damage, mold, moisture movement, demolition, and cleanups performed under containment — as well as full restoration, rebuild, and what I call clean smart remodel: doing the work right the first time so you're not back in two years dealing with the same problem.
What I do
General contracting that handles the messy stuff.
Most contractors want the clean part of the job. I specialize in the work that comes before — and I can stay to do the restoration when it's done.
Water Damage
Rapid assessment and mitigation of water intrusion events — from burst pipes to long-term leaks. Stop the damage, dry the structure, document what happened.
Mold & Moisture
Mold remediation and moisture movement correction performed under proper containment. We address the source, not just the symptom.
Demolition
Selective and full demolition carried out safely — including abatement coordination when lead paint or asbestos is present.
Containment Cleanups
Contaminated-area cleanups executed under negative-pressure containment to protect the rest of the structure and the people inside it.
Restoration & Rebuild
After the environmental work is done, I rebuild — drywall, framing, finishes. One contractor from start to finish.
Clean Smart Remodel
Remodeling that solves the underlying moisture and environmental issues while updating the space. No shortcuts that put you back in the same situation.
